The madness which is the wedding season is the most fun part of my work and is what I specialise in.

My first question to prospective clients is always to consider why they feel they need to have professional photographer shoot their wedding. Surprisingly, what people mean by 'wedding photographs' varies enormously. For some it is to have professional portraits of their wedding day by someone experienced at light and posing. Others, to catch the drama and the emotion as they unfold in a striking and artistic way. For some it is to have somebody completely dedicated to a record of all the details going on, without the distractions of champagne and socialising. For one couple, it was 'simply' to get at least one nice picture of everybody there. Inevitably there will be overlap between all of these, but I very rarely approach weddings in the same way and always want to discuss clients' approach with them.

From initial contact, I will be in close touch to discuss the day with you to create the package and the style of shoot or coverage that you would like for your day, and I should stress, YOUR day. If you do not want your wedding to be stage-managed, I will not do so.

My UK wedding rates for 2011 start from £950 and include as standard:

  • A pre-wedding consultation with a visit to the venue.
  • A 7 hour shoot, which will usually cover from bridal prep to first dance.
  • A DVD of over 300 images, fully licensed to print
  • A choice of either 50 6x4" prints or a £50 discount on album orders

One of the few universals that I have from prospective clients is that they would like a full DVD of high resolution images which is why I include this as standard. Reduced rates are available for couples interested in albums only.

For these and other requests, including engagement shoots, trash-the-dress or contemporary sets or international rates, please contact me.
